Why the Lake summerset community?

There are several areas in and around the Stateline that are worth buying a home in, but Lake Summerset takes living to a new level.

As a gated community, it has a regular population of around 2,600, with seasonal buyers who live there during certain times of the year. There are several things you might enjoy when you buy a house near Lake Summerset!

 

Outdoor Adventures

There is no shortage of outdoor adventures in and around Lake Summerset. The community itself hosts the lake with two beaches and lifeguards during the season. There is also a pool, a spray park, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a community garden, a dog park, disc gofl, bocce ball courts, and several playgrounds. Rockford, IL, is also just a short drive away with its trail systems, play areas, campgrounds, and recreational areas.

 

Food and Drink

Lake Summerset is near some of the most fantastic bars and restaurants in the state. Just east of this cozy community, you’ll find the Best Dam Bar, where the atmosphere is entertaining, and the food is even better. Some other food and drink options include:

Fun and Entertainment

Living in and around Lake Summerset will never be boring; there is something fun and entertaining to do during any season of the year. Winter boasts an excellent season for sledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing. During the fall, head to Edwards Apple Orchard in Winnebago, where you can shop for produce, visit a petting zoo, and experience what old-time farm life was like. Also, near Lake Summerset, you’ll find:
